Holding a Grudge

I recently went to the the funeral of a woman who was one of my closest friends but had a falling out with almost 20 years ago and have been unable to restore the relationship since then. What a loss. I see this all around me as well in my personal life. All of us make mistakes all the time. Say something hurtful thinking it was good advice, not being inclusive, being thoughtless, etc. Apologizing might help but often doesn’t.
These events can not only impact on the two people at loggerheads, but the whole community around them. This hurts everyone, even those not directly involved. We must find a way to let go, mediate and appreciate one another and of course forgive.
