I began keeping an annotated record of the books I had read in 1960. The first book mentioned was Daybreak by Frank G.Slaughter. I liked it. I stopped in 1963 and resumed again in 1989. I read most of Tony Hilllerman’s books and a lot of Jonathan Kellerman. Fun Mysteries. Other books included The Gift of Asher Lev by Chaim Potok, Main Street by Sinclair Lewis. Comedies by David Lodge, Nice Work and Small World.

Most recent recommended readings include:

The Devil in the White City – Erik Larson
The Reluctant Fundamentalist – Mohsin Hamid
The Piano Tuner – Daniel Mason
On the Water – Nathaniel Stone
Zen and the Art of Motorcycle Maintenance – Robert Pirsig
Ronald Rabbit is a Dirty Old Man- Lawrence Block
The Burglar in the Library – Lawrence Block

I have lots more to recommend, when you’re ready.

Namaste!
