Value of Meditation

The NY Times finally reports on the research on telomeres offering aging clues.  To their credit  they  mention that stress is associated with shortened telomeres and that “stress relief, exercise, certain nutrients such as Omega 3 fatty acid might at least slow the decline of telomere length”. Just to complete the picture let me reiterate what I said earlier this week. A way to relieve stress is to meditate. Meditation has been proven to alter the brain (favorably) and now we see that it can alter the genes and increase longevity.
