Not Resisting

by

Rabbi Weisser spoke about not internalizing adversity.  So that if you are being aggressed against simply let it happen and have no reaction. One need not take to heart that which has the potential to hurt.  I have always used the analogy of when two people are displaying anger toward each other if one of them ceases to confront and just becomes neutral the other has nothing to fight against and has to then stop the actions. It takes two to have a fight (or tango).  Similarly Andre Agassi in his excellent autobiography points out a lesson he learned.  You don’t need to win every point. There is value of letting the other guy lose.
