Masorti Olami

by

I had an extraordinary experience yesterday evening at the Park Avenue Synagogue in NYC.  I attended a tribute to my friend Michael Abadi who was being honored by the World Council of Conservative Synagogues/Masorti Olami.  I never heard of this movement and the mission this group of Jews has to keep Jewish traditions alive or restoring them throughout the Diaspora.   Another aspect of this movement seems to be “an explicit acknowledgement of, and support for pluralism and diversity in Judaism.”
